Care and maintenance for your  indoor/outdoor mosaics

A simple routine of cleaning and maintenance will keep your mosaic piece looking dazzling and bright for years to come.

All of Gaia Works Mosaic art pieces are constructed with high quality materials that make it extraordinarily resistant to stains, moisture and the elements. A few simple preventative measures are all that is needed to keep your stained glass or mosaic tile piece in prime condition.

Tile Maintenance
(Stained Glass/Vitreous Tile) If you keep to a regular cleaning schedule with your mosaic piece, simple warm water and a soft, clean cloth should be all you need to use. For a little extra cleaning power, mix a mild and non-abrasive biodegradable soap with the water. Avoid using acidic or chemical cleaning products on your stained glass or vitreous tile mosaic and avoid resting heavy objects on the tile surface.

Grout Maintenance
For optimum protection, the grout should be re-sealed every 6-12 months. It takes just a few minutes to distribute an even coat of sealer and then wipe dry. Grout sealer can be purchased at any hardware or building supply outlet.

Cold Climates (three season)
We highly recommend that you bring your table inside during extreme cold or frost. This will prevent weather damage that could occur due to the natural expansion and contraction of moisture. Bring your table indoors if the temperature drops below 0 Celsius (32 f).

We hope you enjoy your mosaic piece as much as we enjoyed making it!
